Ashley Last

Ashley  joined us in October 2021 and is part of our Ipswich and surrounding areas team. We asked Ashley 3 questions so you can get to know him better.

Why did you get into care?

"I became interested in this kind of work through my youngest son, who has cerebral palsy, epilepsy and learning difficulties. As well as being an utterly fantastic human in his own right, he has taught me so much about myself. In supporting him i have learned that i am patient, pragmatic, kind and generally quiet positive. When i began to look into support/care work i found that my own skills might be pretty useful in the field. I should also stress that i enjoy meeting new people and this type of job regularly puts me in situations where i am able to do so."

What qualities do you bring to the team?

"How would people describe me? A good listener, patient, happy, dresses like an extrovert but is more of an introvert, probably should talk less about football"

An interesting fact about yourself?

"I once won a game of Trivial Pursuit before any of the other players had a chance to throw the dice. I'd like to have this on my CV but my wife advises against it."
